Sell-out business event to return to Sheffield

27th August 2014

A unique business exhibition which debuted in Sheffield in June is set to return later this year, with organisers expecting the event to sell out again.

SheffEX, Sheffield's first one-day business exhibition, brought together more than 1,500 people from organisations across the Sheffield City Region and the wider Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Exhibitors included Santander, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Health and the sell-out event provided local businesses with a unique forum to network. Following the success of the June event, SheffEX will now return to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield, on Monday 1 December. Tony Carroll, one of the event's organisers, said: -We were overwhelmed by the success and positive feedback of the first ever SheffEX. -There was an incredible buzz around the venue last time around with people making contacts, doing deals and forming new business partnerships. -Nine out of 10 people who attended June's event said they would like to see another SheffEX so I'm delighted to announce that it will be returning again this year. -For an event to sell-out in its first year is incredible, but following on from the success of its predecessor, we expect SheffEX 2 to sell-out as well. Plans are now in place for SheffEX, which is free to enter, to run every June and December in the Sheffield City Region. The event will again feature a huge exhibition zone, networking arena, workshop areas and designated theatre for speeches and lectures. Five SheffEX Good Causes will also be chosen to take a no-cost stand at the exhibition. Tony added: -The event is free to enter and the cost of exhibiting has been kept low so that any type and size of company or organisation can have the opportunity show themselves off and grab the attention of hundreds of people. -Response from the business community has been overwhelming so far, so I urge any interested parties to secure their exhibition space as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. For more information or to register your attendance email info@sheffex.com or visit  http://www.sheffex.com or follow @SheffieldExpo on Twitter. To celebrate SheffEX and Sheffield as a place to do business, organisers have created a special video featuring local business men and women. To watch the video, visit www.sheffex.com/video.
