SGS - Standing together as one with latest business support webinars

3rd December 2020

The potential impact that Brexit will have on many UK businesses is huge. SGS have been trying to reduce this impact by offering services and advice to assist organisations through these unprecedented times.

With the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19 also coming into play, businesses have had to re-think and adjust their way of life to ensure that they can continue to offer the very best of services to their customers, whilst keeping their employees safe.

SGS have been hosting complimentary webinars aimed at guiding organisations through the ever-changing rules and regulations, whether that be discussing the switch of responsibility for the UK medical devices market from the European Union  to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) or talking about changes that will happen to the food industry when the transition period is over.

An extremely hot topic recently has been surrounding the manufacturing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and face masks. The pandemic led to an exponential growth in demand for PPE, with many companies taking advantage of this lucrative market. This did, however, lead new entrants to the market finding themselves caught up in the maze of requirements to have their products certified to sell in the UK as PPE. SGS's webinar, which was in association with Medilink Midlands, explained in simple terms the steps needed for manufacturers to place their product on the market.

Staying safe and keeping businesses running is at the top of every organisation’s agenda during this current climate. That is why SGS are offering advice and assistance through our various webinars to help companies adapt and overcome the issues that they are facing. We are all in this together and it is nice to see businesses and communities standing as one.
