SheffEX Nets High-Speed City Web Provider

20th November 2015

A top Sheffield-based broadband provider will be keeping one of the region's biggest business events in the loop with high-speed internet next month.

Idaq, based on Fieldhouse Way, Attercliffe, will be providing super-fast Wi-Fi for the SheffEX Business exhibition at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on 7 December. It means the event's 1,000 delegates and exhibitors will be have access to a super-fast and reliable internet connection throughout the event. It follows Idaq's provision of Wi-Fi at SheffEX in June this year. Idaq's work with SheffEX follows delivery of increased bandwidth at the Sheffield Arena for the final shows of One Direction and its services are delivered from the business's privately-owned Data Centre in Sheffield. Mike Hague, of Idaq Networks, said: -We're extremely pleased to be helping SheffEX get better connected again. -We have invested heavily in the past two years to develop a network backbone capable of delivering high-speed internet services across South Yorkshire. -The service provided by us differs from conventional internet services in that it's distributed by carrier class wireless equipment and is capable of delivering dedicated 'leased line' services from 10Mb to 1Gb. -SheffEX is a brilliant opportunity for us as a company to show what we can do, and providing faultless internet connection once again at one of the region's biggest business events will demonstrate that. Tony Carroll, SheffEX event organiser, said: -To have Idaq on board once again is fantastic for the exhibition and great news for our exhibitors and delegates. -The business has a pedigree of providing excellent Wi-Fi services for huge events in the past, meaning we have full confidence in the company providing us with fantastic service once more. SheffEX first launched in June 2014, with exhibitors including Santander, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Health. It now runs every six months. It is free to attend as a delegate and stands start from £295.
