Sheffield business celebrate 40 years with a charity Joe Wicks style fitness challenge!

23rd September 2020

To mark their 40th anniversary, Sheffield promotional products company Steel City Marketing, is holding a virtual fitness charity event: the #40X4CHALLENGE!

Every working day of September at 9.30am, MD James Biggin is doing 4 sets of 40 seconds of light exercises via Zoom. There is no need for sports gear, the idea is to have a short and fun session to get the blood pumping and to start the day feeling motivated!

Steel City Marketing have also invited wellbeing, fitness and business coaches to begin each session with a quick tip or piece of advice. So far guests have included health and wellbeing expert Gary Butterfield from Everyday Juice Ltd, Natasha Gilson a.k.a. Miss Motivator, well-being and workplace management consultant Mike Lawrence and Pete Swatkins, director of The Fitness Truck.

“We have loved starting the working day feeling inspired and energised! We’ve built up a little community and it is wonderful to see everyone smiling and having fun. It only takes 5 minutes of our time but the impact is well worth while and it is all in aid of three life changing charities who need our support now more than ever.” says MD James Biggin.

“Everyone at Cavendish would like to say a huge thank you to the Steel City Marketing team for choosing to support us as part of their 40th Birthday Celebrations. At a time where our clients need us now more than ever, it’s inspiring to see the team are innovative in their way to support local charities. Fitness and mental health has been on everyone’s agenda during lockdown and the 4x40challenge is a great way to set yourself up for the day, engage with your team and support charities at the same time.” Comments Corporate Partnerships Officer, Kirsty White.

With just over a week and a half left of the challenge, there is still time to donate, join in or even take over a session in exchange for a small donation. Everyone who takes part and/or donates will receive a Steel City branded gift and all monies received will be split between local charities: Cavendish Cancer Care, The Children’s Hospital Charity and Weston Park Cancer Charity.

“What better way to kick off a working day than by getting involved in the promotion of workplace wellbeing and raising money for amazing charitable causes.” Helen Williams, HEW
