Sheffield Businesses Shortlisted in British Chambers of Commerce Awards

Recognising the incredible efforts of its members and giving them the chance of being named one of the best businesses in the UK, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is championing several firms in the British Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2022.
By making it to the Regional Awards Shortlist, FourJaw, HLM Architects, Henry Boot, ITM Power, Mattress Online, Orchid, Rachel Abbott and SYHA are ensuring that Sheffield businesses are right up there with some of the best in the country.
FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics has been shortlisted for the Business Diversification Award. Aiming to help manufacturers find more work whilst continuing to deliver the most efficient service possible, FourJaw is delivering transformative productivity gains through its ‘fitness tracker’ for manufacturing.
Community Champion, Henry Boot has been shortlisted as an organisation that facilitates, participates, and enables community engagement, demonstrating the power of giving back.
The construction company consistently works with customers and supply chain partners to deliver exceptional quality and projects in the urban development, residential, and industrial and logistics sectors.
Shortlisted for The Planet Saver, ITM Power Plc is fully committed to making the world a better and safer place. The business is aiming for a world free of fossil fuels where everyone can enjoy the benefits of a net zero society – such as energy security and clean air.
Mattress Online has enjoyed exceptional levels of growth and is recognised in The Rapid Riser shortlisting. In the past year, turnover has soared to £37.5m making Mattress Online the largest independent mattress retailer in the UK.
South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA) is a shortlisted business that champions diversity and promotes inclusion. SYHA’s ethos is that its customers can ‘settle, live well and realise their potential’.
“We wanted to promote the great work of Sheffield businesses by nominating our members for the national Chamber Business Award. We see this as a brilliant opportunity to celebrate their achievements,” said Sheffield Chamber Interim Chief Executive, Louisa Harrison-Walker.
“The Awards recognise the best of British business, and we are very pleased that all our nominees have gone through to be shortlisted for the Regional finals.”
For over 150 years, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has supported, connected, and represented businesses of all sizes in our vibrant and innovative city of Sheffield.
As part of the British Chambers of Commerce, they feed into the national picture and champion Sheffield's outstanding reputation as a city to live, work and play helping their members regularly benefit from their support, expertise, and collaboration.
The Chamber Business Awards is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, recognising and promoting the best of British business through a series of regional heats, culminating in a campaign to showcase winning businesses on an international stage.
Regional winners will be announced on September 28. They will be notified and get a certificate alongside an invitation to the national awards announcement.
Afterwards, national winners will be announced on December 1.
In the spirit of championing Sheffield businesses, nominations for the Sheffield Business Awards recently opened too. By entering you have a chance to receive an award on the December 8, so make sure you apply before the deadline October 10.
