Sheffield Chamber and unLTD Take New Approach to this Season's Awards Ceremonies

12th May 2023

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and unLTD Magazine are to relaunch the region’s business awards resulting in two separate ceremonies.

The two organisations have successfully collaborated on the Sheffield Business Awards the last two years, navigating the pandemic, where the events were based at Peddlers Market in Neepsend.

As the events season for 2023 gets underway, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce will be taking the Sheffield Business Awards forward as the sole hosts and unLTD will run its own unLTD Business Awards for small and medium businesses across the whole of South Yorkshire.

Between the Sheffield Business Awards and unLTD’s sister magazine’s Exposed Awards, there has emerged a gap in the market to celebrate a whole host of smaller businesses in the region, which is where unLTD now want to focus their ongoing award support.

It is hoped that the breadth of events moving forward will encourage more celebration of amazing hard work happening in Sheffield and its surrounding areas.

Therefore, October will see the Sheffield Business Awards return to black tie with a new venue and new categories hosted by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and December will see unLTD host their awards - remaining at Peddlers Market.

Louisa Harrison- Walker, Chief Executive of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said:

“We are so excited to see Sheffield’s award offer broaden as unLTD develop their awards to cover the whole of South Yorkshire.

“Along with the Sheffield Business Awards, we can’t wait to celebrate the depth and breadth of smaller business in the region, and to celebrate, inspire and champion the hard work that goes on in businesses that have fewer staff, tighter budget constraints and are still very much growing.

“As with any of our members, unLTD remain one of our close partners and the Chamber will still be on hand to offer help and support as they need.”

Phil Turner, Managing Director of unLTD magazine, said:

“It has been a pleasure to collaborate with Sheffield Chamber of Commerce over these past two years and to develop the Sheffield Business Awards - despite the difficult times in which we were organising events.”

“Now, however, a wonderful opportunity has opened to allow us to celebrate so much more in the region. Between the Exposed Awards and the Sheffield Business Awards, we see a space to celebrate those small and medium businesses that drive so much of the region’s economy and with our new award ceremony, that’s exactly what we are excited to champion.”

More details on the Sheffield Business Awards and the unLTD Business Awards will be announced shortly.
