Sheffield Chamber Members Get the Gold with City Region Award Win

Sheffield Chamber are immensely proud that seven of their members walked away as winners at the City Region Business Awards on the 2nd July.

The winning businesses included; Azzure IT who won the Professional Services Award. Pryor Marking Technology winner of the Manufacturing Award. Patron Westfield Health went home with two awards, the Customer Service Award and the Outstanding Overall Business Award. Jackie Neil of Abbey Forged Products won Business Person of the Year. Tom Matthews of Tata Steel won the Skills/Apprentice/Training Award. Rafters Restaurants Alistair Myers and Tom Lawson won the Young Business Person of the Year Award. Five of these winners had been automatically put forward after winning a Sheffield Business Award in December 2014. Angela Wall, Events Manager at the Sheffield Chamber, said: -We organise the Sheffield Business Awards each year as a way of celebrating Sheffield business and praising those that achieve and go the extra mile. It is great to see that many of the winners of last years Sheffield Business Awards have now gone on to win a City Region Award! "As a Chamber we congratulate our members (and all of the finalists) for their win and hope their achievement brings them more recognition and success in the future." Juliet Fidorra form Pryor Marking Technology, said: "Pryor is elated at having won the Sheffield Business award for Manufacturing and the overall award for 'Outstanding Business of the Year' in 2014. The occasion raised the company's profile in the local community which, of course, is renowned for manufacturing excellence. Following our recognition at these awards, John Longworth, Director General of the BCC came to visit Pryor for a VIP tour showing the technical processes utilised when the company was first established in 1849 to the highly advanced and innovative laser marking techniques used today. "After winning the Sheffield Business awards in 2014, Pryor was then entered into the City Region awards in 2015. We were recognised at this event as a 'frontrunner of manufacturing technology' and were awarded the regional manufacturing award. Having won these awards over the past year, along with other national awards, our employees, suppliers and families have been presented with a recognised achievement that we all take pride in together."
