Sheffield Chamber Picks the Fuelcard People

9th February 2015

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appointed The Fuelcard People, a Fuel Card Group company, as its preferred fuel cards supplier.

The Chamber's  2,200+ member companies now have access to discount diesel and petrol throughout the UK. Richard Wright, Sheffield Chamber executive director, said, -We already have a very strong member benefits portfolio, covering everything from utilities to healthcare, so any new partner must meet high standards. We considered a number of options before selecting The Fuelcard People. Apart from offering significant savings on fuel costs, their attitude to personal service is outstanding. Sheffield Chamber members can expect to save up to 5p per litre on national average pump prices for both diesel and petrol. Their fixed weekly pricing means discount refuelling nationwide, at thousands of easily accessible locations. Each member is also allocated their own named, dedicated account manager. They always talk to the same person, who knows and understands their business. Steve Clarke, group marketing manager, said, -We are delighted to have been appointed, because major fuel cost savings is only the first of the benefits we can offer. Chamber members can look forward to dramatically reduced administration, an end to refuelling paperwork and no transaction fees. The Fuelcard People's unbeatable range of fuel cards means that a member will not be pushed towards any particular product. Instead, the member can rely upon impartial expert advice on the most appropriate fuel card for their individual needs. Whichever fuel card they choose, all refuelling, for all vehicles, is covered by a single weekly VAT-compliant invoice. The interval between invoicing and the automatic direct debit payment means up to two weeks of interest-free credit. Significantly, there will be no transaction fees a growing number of suppliers levy a charge of £2 or more for each refuelling stop. Depending upon which fuel card or cards a member chooses, they can refuel at thousands of filling stations throughout the UK including BP, Esso, Shell and Texaco sites. This includes supermarkets, independent retailers and specialist diesel networks. Other benefits include 24/7 secure Internet account access, including transactions yet to be invoiced. Custom reports are available on demand, for download directly into standard business packages. The use of eServices means that the whole process can be paperless and administration-free. Steve Clarke, said, -A member of Sheffield Chamber will never need to drive around hunting for the best refuelling deal, because they will already have it.
