Sheffield film crew capture the magic of manufacturing

29th April 2013

The Global Manufacturing Festival took place between the 17th and 19th April 2013.

The three days saw thousands of delegates attending the city wide events programme, to see what the UK has to offer. Get Up To Speed was focussed around encouraging young people to get involved with the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and inspiring them to be part of this exciting industry. The Conference and Trade Show was an opportunity to hear speakers, network, do business, and view the 70+ manufacturing led exhibition stands. Impact Films were proud to be video production sponsors, capturing both the Get Up To Speed event, and the Conference and Trade Show. Simon Gamble, Executive Producer at Impact Films said -it was important that we were part of such an important event for the Sheffield City Region. The Festival was an opportunity for Impact Films to work alongside partner companies like Sheffield Chamber and Marketing Sheffield, as well as having the chance to work with some big names like Boeing and Rolls-Royce. Kate Stephenson, Event Manager at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce said -we always try to give our members the opportunity for brand awareness where possible, and this event was a fantastic way for Impact Films to show the City what brilliant work they do. The Global Manufacturing Conference and Trade Show took over 1200 bookings, had a sell out exhibition, and attracted both UK and international delegations.
