11th June 2015

Local firm, Rebmark Legal Solutions Ltd, scooped the -Innovator of the Year award at the UK Claims Innovation Awards Dinner held in Manchester last week.

The award was given to Managing Director Mark Hewitt for his innovative web-based software, piCalculator, that is revolutionising the claims industry. Mark says -I am delighted that ground-breaking nature of piCalculator has been recognised by the industry in this way. We love demonstrating our software to lawyers. At first they try to find limitations but soon realise it is has the capacity to make a massive difference to the way they work. piCalculator is fast becoming an essential tool to lawyers involved in personal injury and clinical negligence. It seamlessly and accurately performs all the calculations behind preparing a claim saving hours of painstaking work and producing clear, easy to read results. Mark is a true innovator and loves solving problems. He began developing piCalculator in 2006 when his lawyer sister challenged him to write a piece of software to make her life easier. He started up Rebmark Legal Solutions to bring his ideas to market. The company has gone from strength to strength, making the move to bigger premises at Blenheim Reach last year and, amongst other appointments, taking on two young apprentices reflecting their desire to nurture potential talent. The annual Claims Innovation Awards celebrate how firms, teams and individuals from across the legal services, claims management and associated industries' landscape constantly find new ways of raising standards, growing business and improving access to justice.
