Sheffield Hallam moves up in latest Good University Guide rankings

Sheffield Hallam University has improved its ranking in the new edition of 'The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019'.

The University has moved up from 70th to 67th place. The improvement is the latest set of positive results for the University. The recent National Survey of Students (NSS) showed an increase in overall student satisfaction to 86% and the University moved up 15 places in the Guardian University Guide 2019. Furthermore, Sheffield Hallam was included within the top 10 European universities for both student engagement and environment by the Times Higher Education (THE) Europe Teaching Rankings 2018. 'The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019' rankings cover student satisfaction with the quality of their teaching and academic feedback, course content and facilities; graduate job prospects; the likelihood of achieving a high-class degree; entry standards; dropout rates; research quality; student/staff ratio; and spending on library and other student services. Sheffield Hallam University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Chris Husbands, said: "This improvement is another indicator showing Sheffield Hallam to be moving towards securing our ambitions.
