Sheffield Hospitals Charity appoints Corporate Manager

Sheffield Hospitals Charity has recruited a new Corporate and Major Donor Manager to its expanding team.
Richard Coteau brings nine years of third sector expertise to the role, which is new to the charity and aims to develop partnerships with businesses in the region. Richard will be responsible for developing relationships and encouraging businesses to get involved in making a real and tangible difference in their local community by funding improvements to care in the city's adult hospitals. He said: -This is an exciting opportunity, for me, this is more than just a job. It's a chance to make a lasting difference to the care of patients in the region who visit hospitals in the Sheffield. -As it's a new role I have lots of plans to put into place. I want to build up a community of business supporters, who like me, are passionate about the NHS and want to make changes that really will by transformational, helping to improve the quality of life and length of life of patients. -This is a unique opportunity and I want to harness the amazing goodwill and humbling generosity of businesses and individuals. Sheffield Hospitals Charity supports Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, which is one of the UK's biggest, busiest and most successful NHS Foundation Trusts. It provides a complete range of hospital and community services for the people of Sheffield, as well as specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is also recognised internationally for its work in neurosciences, spinal injuries, renal, cancer, transplantation, neurosciences and orthopaedics. With the generous support and hard work of its donors and fundraisers, the charity is able to invest more than £2.5 million a year in funding improvements such as the introduction of state of the art equipment, pioneering research, patient and family support, buildings and people.
