Sheffield Retailer Accelerates Sales Growth.

17th January 2012

For one city store there has been no such thing as a 'slow down' as reported by so many of the countries national high street retailers in recent weeks.

For running specialists Accelerate it has definitely been a case of 'keeping up with themselves' as sales through the year have steadily grown and in December reached an all time high for the developing business.  One of the directors of the business, Debs Smith, commented, "It is tough out there on the high street at the moment but we place a high value on customer service and footfall through the store has steadily increased with more and more people visiting the store following recommendations from their running friends". Sales growth through the bricks and mortar side of the business has eclipsed online sales, despite a heavy and successful presence across social media.  With this in mind the companies website is being completely revamped and will go live shortly. Sales for the young business are currently up by 40% year on year and January has, so far, continued the upward trend.  Next up for Accelerate is the Sheffield Business Awards, as they have been shortlisted for the Retail Excellence categorey.
