Sheffield Sharks basketball match in aid of Sheffield Hospitals Charity

27th February 2013

At a home game on Friday 15 March, Sheffield Hospitals Charity is joining forces with the One Health Sheffield Sharks basketball team to raise vital funds for the Cord Injury Centre at theNorthernGeneralHospital.

The specialist Centre treats patients who have suffered the trauma of a spinal cord injury, helping them to restore their confidence, regain their independence and rebuild their lives so they can return home.   We are working with the Centre to raise £100,000 to purchase a revolutionary exoskeleton bionic suit.  The suit is a life changing piece of equipment. It enables paralysed patients to experience walking with the assistance of the suit. The suit will mainly be used for rehabilitation. It will also reduce the degeneration of muscle and bone, prevent painful pressure sores developing and improve overall psychological wellbeing. In simple terms, the suit gives paralysed patients the chance to stand and walk a truly life changing experience.   If you, your colleagues and perhaps your clients would like to be part of making this happen for the people ofSheffield, sponsorship and hospitality packages are available.  The packages provide a great opportunity to support the important work of the Centre and to treat your staff or clients to a fun and affordable night out.   Principal game sponsorship: £2,000 Brand exposure - logo and sponsorship acknowledgement on SHC website and in match day materials,  announcements via the PA system and inclusion on video screens in all hospitality areas Press launch of sponsorship with the Sharks and Sheffield Hospitals Charity Link from Sharks website to your business website to promote the partnership Exclusive use of the Athletes Lounge Your business logo printed on the court floor Complimentary finger buffet for 16 16 VIP courtside seats the closest you can get to the action Guess the Score competition and exclusive on court shoot out for your guests.
