Sheffield Splash!

6th September 2013

Some of Sheffield's top business brains are making a big splash for St Luke's Hospice.

Sheffield Chamber are delighted to be supporting this event, for member Charity St Lukes Hospice, and for our daredevil members who are doing their bit for Charity...... On Thursday 19 September, they'll be taking the plunge from the diving board at Ponds Forge - and raising money for the £5 million Room to Care appeal to create a new In Patient Unit for St Luke's and for the Sheffield Diving Club. Already into a rigorous training schedule and swapping their suits for Speedos are Geoff Halliwell, Director at architects Bond Bryan, award-winning magician and entertainer Steve Faulkner, Siobhan Newton from Hallam University, Caroline Moore, Managing Director of Medical Solicitors, Karen Sherwood and Graham Shapley of the Cupola Gallery in Hillsborough and Joe Heller from recruitment company Consult Search and Selection. They'll be entertaining spectators with their dives at Ponds Forge at 7.00pm on the big day, along with a display by professional divers from the City of Sheffield Dive Club and a special guest appearance by Red Bull Cliff Diver, Mat Cowen. -It should be a great evening said Ceri James, Capital Appeal Development Manager at St Luke's. - We still have £1m to raise before we reach our £5m target so every penny counts and this event is going to be a great way to boost the appeal. Please show your support for our diving daredevils! Tickets: £8 adults £4 children under 16 years £20 family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) Buy tickets from Ponds Forge reception; by phone on 0114 223 3400 or online at http://www.arenaticketshop.co.uk/whats-on/sheffield-splash
