Shorts renew Chamber Patronage for fifth year

23rd December 2020

This month, we are delighted to announce that Shorts Chartered Accountants have renewed their Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Patronage for the fifth consecutive year.

Scott Burkinshaw, Tax Partner said: “Once again, we are delighted to renew our patronage of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.  Over the years we have an established and excellent working relationship with the Chamber, with both of our organisations focussed on offering wide ranging and valuable support for businesses within the Sheffield region. This has never been more relevant than during current times, so maintaining our ongoing patronage sits perfect with our shared objectives."

“We remain active supporters of businesses in Sheffield and feel that a strong Chamber of Commerce helps them to flourish.  Most recently, our collaboration has centred around making sure that the region's innovative companies continue to claim their full entitlement to government backed R&D tax relief and provide support throughout the Brexit transitional agreement period.  We look forward to continuing to work closely with the team at The Chamber in 2021.”

Tom Sutton, Head of Policy & Representation at the Chamber said “I am really pleased that Shorts have renewed their Patronage with Sheffield Chamber. 2020 has been a challenging year for business, but Shorts and the Chamber worked together to quickly respond. Throughout the year we have delivered information sessions that covered cashflow, research & development tax relief and even explored the benefit of holding companies. We work with Shorts as a key strategic partner. In 2021, we are looking forward to continuing our partnership and helping our business communities as we turn our focus towards recovery.”
