Solicitors Chip in for Charity Challenge

TRAINEE BUSINESS solicitors at the Sheffield office of national law firm, Irwin Mitchell, have announced that they are to host a charity poker night on 19 July 2012.

The event, at Napoleons Casino on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield, is part of the Master Cutler's Challenge 2012 and will raise money for the Cavendish Cancer Care - a centre providing valuable support and counselling services to cancer sufferers and their families. Natasha Guthrie, a trainee solicitor in the firm's corporate team, said: This event promises to be a great night and certainly one which we hope will raise a lot of money for a wonderful cause. There will be tables for novices as well as experienced players and the evening will provide a good opportunity for networking as well as a chance to win some fantastic prizes. The Master Cutler's Challenge provides teams within local businesses and educational establishments with a £50 cash investment in return for committing to innovative and entrepreneurial fundraising ideas. Now in its fifth year, the charity has raised over £500,000. The event commences at 6pm with Poker starting at 7pm.
