With close to a million active apprenticeships across England alone, apprenticeship schemes are an engine for social mobility, talent and diversity critical to employers across the region. Now in their fifth year, these awards (run and hosted by JPI media) recognise and reward both the apprentices and their employers that are excelling across South Yorkshire.
Find out more and apply now at https://www.scrapprenticeshipawards.co.uk/ - with awards open to employers of all shapes, sizes and sectors.
Gradconsult is once again proud to sponsor the Higher or Degree Apprentice of the Year award. Degree apprenticeship students aim to achieve a full bachelor's or master's degree as part of their apprenticeship. Higher apprenticeships provide an opportunity to gain Level 4 qualifications or above, with most apprentices gaining an NVQ Level 4, HND, or foundation degree. Some offer the opportunity to progress to Level 7 (which is postgraduate degree level). Higher and Degree apprenticeships are employed throughout the programme, and spend part of their time at studying and the rest with their employer.
This offers employers and students a viable and valuable alternative to traditional full time university courses to achieving higher level qualifications. As well as building deep knowledge transfer between educators and employers.
We are blessed in the region to be leading the work across the UK in this area. And this is a wonderful opportunity to recognise those students progressing, developing and contributing to their employers and the region through these higher level studies.
Closing date to submit your entries is 8pm Thursday 28th April 2022. The awards take place on 22nd June from 6.45pm at the Mercure Sheffield St Paul’s Hotel & Spa. We hope to see many regional employers there at the final!
