South Yorkshire Law Firm Continues Patronage for 8th Year

15th December 2020

The room was certainly full of Christmas Spirit as Wosskow Brown Solicitors confirmed their continued patronage of the Sheffield Chamber for an 8th year.

Wosskow Brown’s Partners, Ian Brown, Ian Osborn and Jamie Brown were taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day when Sheffield Chamber’s Tom Sutton called by to present the Patron’s plaque.

Whilst the majority of the staff in the office were wearing a whole host of colourful Christmas jumpers, the firm’s newest Partner and Head of Commercial Property, Ian Osborn went the extra mile in his ‘Christmas’ getup. Dressed as an imposing Ebenezer Scrooge, Ian was proud to receive the Patron plaque.

A time to pull together

Managing Partner, Ian Brown was keen to discuss plans for 2021. He went on to say: “This year has been turbulent for many Sheffield City Region businesses, ours included. We set out in early 2020 to deliver a business growth programme with our Wosskow Brown Foundation. Obviously, this didn’t go to plan, so for 2021, we are going to relaunch it as a business recovery programme.

“The Wosskow Brown Foundation was launched in 2014 as a private sector intuitive in response to the government’s call for private sector businesses to help regenerate the local economy and strengthen the region’s organisations. If there was ever a time that we all needed to pull together for the benefit of the local economy, now is that time.

“Through our Patronage with the Chamber, the Foundation’s programmes and our commercial lawyers, we have a fantastic footing to provide city region organisations with sound business advice and commercial legal services. We’re all incredibly proud of that.”

Long standing partnership

Tom Sutton, Head of Policy and Representation said “I am delighted that Wosskow Brown have renewed their Patronage with Sheffield Chamber. 2021 marks the 8th consecutive year of working with Wosskow Brown Team as Patrons. The long standing partnership has allowed us to work on key initiatives and programmes during this time. Next year I am excited about the prospect of launching the ‘Let’s Recover Together’ initiative with Wosskow Brown and the Wosskow Brown Foundation. The provision of practical support to help business and business leaders recover from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic will be key to sustaining our economy in the long-term.”
