Pension Scheme Accounts Responding to regulatory and technological change, and the importance of good governance Investment Platforms In our latest seminar we will consider a range of topics relating to occupational pension schemes.

This seminar will be of interest to pension scheme trustees, employers, pensions managers and anyone who works or advises in relation to occupational pension schemes. The following presentations will be made: A speaker from PWC -Pension scheme accounts This session will consider the current accounting standards applicable to pension scheme accounts for both DC and DB schemes. Simon Pickerill of Capita - -Member-centric DC Governance This session will explore the ever-evolving regulatory landscape affecting occupational DC pension arrangements, bringing DC governance out of the dark and into the light. As part of this, Simon will discuss the Regulator's expectations and the importance of 'knowing your members' to ensure value for money and, ultimately, good member outcomes. Adrian Swales Chief Executive of Mobius Life -Investment Platforms" Investment Platforms used to be the preserve of corporate DC schemes and retail investments. They are now being increasingly used also by DB schemes. This session will examine the reasons why and look at the options available in the market place, including why many platforms are currently changing ownership and the implications for Trustees, advisors and members.
