23rd November 2018

South Yorkshire teenagers are being urged to think about life beyond their exams and attend a higher education careers evening supported by a live performance from a celebrity boyband.

Sarah Clark, Principal of UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, said: -We are delighted to host this higher education event which will provide a fantastic opportunity for students from across the region to find out about the exciting careers and subject options available to them beyond their GCSEs. The event is aimed at students aged 15 and 16 those in Year 11 - and their parents and carers, as they get ready to take their GCSEs this academic year and start thinking beyond their exams about their Post 16 subject options and what they want to do career wise in the long term. Around 20 organisations are attending including the University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, Longley Park Sixth Form College, The Sheffield College, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire (HeppSY+).
