Space to Think - Meeting rooms at the JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre

13th June 2018

It's just four miles from the centre of Sheffield, but JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre couldn't feel further from the city.

Nestled within 142 hectares of ancient woodland and surrounded by a friendly community of craftspeople, rangers and volunteers, it's a beautiful, peaceful place. A uniquely inspiring place, where the only distractions are the sounds of birdsong and the views between the trees. In short, the perfect place for rewarding meetings, conferences, exhibitions and team-building events. Our centre accommodates up to 80 guests across two distinctive spaces: Hector's House a charming L-shaped, timber-framed building, kept warm by a log burning stove. The Sycamore Suite an airy, sycamore-clad room with a cracking view of the woods. Beyond the meeting rooms, there's the woods to play with. Bring a change of scenery to your breakout sessions with a quick jog to clear the head, a long woodland walk to get ideas flowing, or a relaxing craft session with one of our resident makers. Refreshments Each booking includes unlimited coffee, tea and biscuits. We'll arrange a buffet to suit your requirements, with fresh, locally sourced food prepared by St Mary's, a charity that supports the local community. Technical We can support your meeting or event with our range of technical equipment, including a colour projector and screen, free wifi in each room, and a laptop available to hire. Location The JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre is based in Ecclesall Woods, Abbey Lane, Sheffield, S7 2QZ. By car: 4 miles from the city centre, 8 miles from the M1. 20 parking spaces on site. Additional parking available on Abbey Lane. By train: a 7-minute journey from Sheffield to Dore and Totley station, followed by a 15-minute walk through the woods. By bus: a 10-minute walk from major bus routes on Abbeydale Road South and Ecclesall Road South. Want to chat about how we can make your next meeting memorable?
