Special Olympics GB launches National Games Opening Ceremony ticket details and talent line-up

Special Olympics GB is thrilled to announce Opening Ceremony ticket sale arrangements and the entertainment line-up for the evening.
Iconic singer Tony Hadley will be headlining at the Opening Ceremony for Special Olympics National Games on the evening of Tuesday 8 August at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane Stadium. The Opening Ceremony show will be hosted by three big name stars - Downton Abbey's Jim Carter, Moto GP broadcaster Suzi Perry and football pundit Chris Kamara. Additional entertainment on the night will be provided by the Rationale Theatre Company and will see local talented Yorkshire based artists including 'Under the Stars', 'Team Power Stilts', 'Aim To Dance', 'Kansaze African Dancers', 'Chinese Lions Dance', 'Team Katalyst' Dance & Gymnasts and the 'ParaCheer' Cheerleaders. Also at Special Olympics GB's Opening Ceremony will be James Toseland former double World Superbikes Champion turned rock music artist who will be performing 'We'll Stop at Nothing', the 2017 Official Special Olympics National Summer Games Anthem. The song has been released with all profits going to the charity to support athletes with learning disability. Prices: Adult - £8.00 Over 60/ Disabled - £6.00 Under 16/ Student - £5.00 Special Olympics GB's National Games are to be held in Sheffield and South Yorkshire this August and will see in the region of 2,600 athletes with learning disabilities take part in 20 sports events. Special Olympics GB's tenth National Summer Games will be held for the second time in Sheffield the first time was back in the steel city in 1993. Special Olympics GB is the largest registered charity providing year round sports training and competition opportunities for people with intellectual (learning) disabilities. The National Summer Games will open on Tuesday 8th August with a spectacular Opening Ceremony at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane and will continue with four days of sport. This is the largest disability sports event of 2017 and entry is free to the public for all the sporting action.
