StartUp Britain Bus helps launch MADE 2015

4th August 2015

StartUp Britain's nationwide bus tour rolled into Sheffield last week to help launch MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival 2015.

Parking up at Barkers Pool on Friday 31 July, over forty members of the public boarded the bus to receive free specialist business advice from StartUp Britain' advisers and Sheffield's business support organisation, Business Sheffield. As well as kick starting the countdown to Sheffield's MADE Festival in October, StartUp Britain's bus visit is part of an ongoing national enterprise campaign, helping the number of UK businesses started in 2015 to reach a record 600,000. 226 loans, worth some £1.1 million, have been already made to individuals in Sheffield and it's hoped that Friday's event will have helped raise awareness and added to these figures even more. Both working to help drive enterprise, this is the third year that StartUp Britain have teamed up with MADE and they'll be back in Sheffield on the Thursday 22 October for the 2015 edition of the festival. The lineup of inspirational entrepreneurs includes former member of JLS, JB Gill and multi-millionaire mumpreneur Annabel Karmel. As well as the usual mix of inspirational success stories, this year's MADE will focus on offering festival goers practical hands-on advice with a series of MADE Masterclasses covering a range of key business topics such as low cost digital marketing, increasing sales and outstanding customer service.
