Steel City Marketing Ltd is thrilled to announce that three of its courageous team members, David, Jenni, and Rowan, will be taking on the challenge of abseiling down the Sheffield Hallam Owen Building, a towering 12-storey structure, in support of Cavendish Cancer Care.

This daring event is set to take place on June 16th, 2024, with the goal of raising much-needed funds and awareness for the local charity.

Cavendish Cancer Care is an independent charity based in Sheffield that has been providing free support packages to cancer patients and their families for over 30 years.
Their mission is to ensure that no one faces cancer alone, offering care and support to alleviate the physical and psychological effects of cancer and its treatments. Remarkably, the charity only receives enough government funding to operate for two weeks each year, making community support and fundraising efforts crucial to their continued service.

David, Jenni, and Rowan have all mustered the courage to overcome their fear of heights for this remarkable cause. The trio’s participation underscores their commitment not only to personal growth but also to making a significant impact on their community. They are appealing to the public for support through donations, which can be made on their JustGiving page.

"Taking on this abseil is both a personal challenge and a way to give back to our community," said Jenni, Marketing Executive at Steel City. "Cavendish Cancer Care does incredible work supporting people at one of the most difficult times in their lives. We’re proud to support them and hope that our efforts will help raise the funds they need to continue their vital services."

Steel City Marketing Ltd invites everyone to support this brave endeavour. Every donation, regardless of size, will contribute significantly to Cavendish Cancer Care’s mission. The funds raised will go directly towards providing essential therapy and support for individuals and families affected by cancer.
