Success for Chamber Membership Strategy

23rd November 2016

After conducting substantial research and listening to feedback from members, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce decided to refresh its membership offering and structure.

This now enables members to choose a membership level that suits their business needs. On 3rd October 2016, after months of hard work, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce launched their new membership package. Sheffield Chambers primary aim is to support, grow & connect Sheffield businesses and the membership package has now been developed further to ensure it remains fit for purpose. This re branded, re structured membership package, offers a more current and accessible service that can be tailored to any business. Since the relaunch the Chamber is proud to announce that three members have joined at the Premium Partner level, after seeing the benefits it can bring to their business. These include Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Efficiency North Limited and ProAktive. This is the highest level of membership under Patronage, and provides our Premium Partner members exclusive access to senior level policy and representation to ensure the business is at the forefront of developments across the city region. Liz Butcher, Corporate Development Manager at Efficiency North Limited explains -We saw that becoming Premium Partners of the Sheffield Chamber would be a great opportunity to get involved in the wider local business community and have a stronger presence in South Yorkshire. Efficiency North is also a membership organisation and we share the Chamber's ethos and core purpose of working together for the benefit of all. -We hope that becoming a Premium Partner will raise awareness and understanding of our activities in housing in the Yorkshire and Humber region, build links with other organisations also committed to supporting local communities and boosting employment and training opportunities, and help us upskill our own workforce, as well as many other benefits Sam Leeder, Commercial Sales Manager at ProAktive said -When working with businesses at ProAktive we can -free you to do what you do best through our innovative and integrated Insurance, Risk Management and Employee Benefit solutions. Being based in South Yorkshire for over 40 years our fantastic people really understand the needs of local businesses and can provide truly bespoke solutions. -As part of our increased investment in our offering to the Sheffield Market we feel that partnership with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is fundamental to our success. We have worked with them for a number of years and really felt that the new Premier Membership could offer us something over and above what we've experienced before. We're looking forward to accessing new services and undertaking some joint marketing activities and joint events. Chris White, Events Manager at Yorkshire Wildlife Park added "Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation are delighted to be Sheffield Chambers first Premium partner. We are keen to maximise our membership, forging links with prospective partners and clients in the Sheffield Business Community. "One of the region's fastest growing attractions, the Park is also rapidly developing a name for hosting exciting events. With a choice of venues, the Park is able to provide unique experiences and bespoke events for corporate clients, their customers and staff."
