Support Local Disability Charity at Ice Hockey Tournament
6th July 2015
A group of ice hockey enthusiasts are coming together on the 25th/26th July at Ice Sheffield to raise thousands of pounds for local charities as part of the UK Forums All Stars ice hockey tournament.
Seven teams of dedicated ice hockey fans are each representing a different charity, and competing in the two day event. Last year's triumphant winners Team Autism Plus are offering the chance to win 4x family passes to this year's tournament as part of their charity raffle. Each pass allows 2 x adults and 2 x children entry for the whole weekend. To enter the raffle visit the charity's JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/autismplus/ and make the correct donation for the number of tickets you wish to buy. Tickets are £5 per strip and your ticket numbers will be sent via email. You'll need to include your name, email and phone number in the message box with your donation. Please do not claim Gift Aid on this donation. The draw will be made at 12pm on 17th July 2015 and the winners will be contacted by email shortly after. Aside from the battle for the trophy, each team raises funds for their chosen charity. At last year's event over £35,000 was raised in total. Autism Plus are a local charity that works across the north of England supporting children, young people and adults with autism and other complex improve their quality of life. The UK Forum All-Stars began in 2008. David Grant and Gareth Hubback set out to have a weekend where ice hockey fans from across the UK could get together, play ice hockey and raise money for charities. Mel Russell, Fundraiser at Autism Plus said -We are delighted that The UK Forum All-Stars choose to support Autism Plus again at this year's event. It's a brilliant fun-filled weekend for all the family and not just ice hockey fans and for a small donation you get to attend this fantastic tournament with the family and support individuals with autism and other complex needs at the same time.
