Sheffield design studio Synth launches new blog exploring the craft, challenges and curiosity behind design

Sheffield-based design studio Synth has launched a new blog offering an honest, behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to run a senior creative studio working with clients across the world.

Founded inn 2018, Synth specialises in brand, product (UX/UI) and creative direction, helping businesses of all sizes simplify complex challenges through thoughtful, human-centred design. Their work spans from global names like Volvo to growing SMEs, non-profits and start-ups looking to establish or evolve their digital and brand presence.

The new blog goes beyond showcasing finished work. Instead, it shares insights into the process, how ideas develop, how design decisions are made and what it really takes to balance creativity with business outcomes. The posts mix practical reflections, design experiments and stories from real client projects, giving readers a window into the everyday problem solving that defines modern design practice.

Speaking about the launch, Dave McLeavy from Synth said:

“We wanted to create something open and useful and a place where we can talk about design in a way that feels human. The blog is a space for sharing how we think, what we’ve learned from working with global and local clients and hopefully sparking conversations with others doing interesting things.”
