Taylor & Emmet secures double award nomination

20th May 2021

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is in the running for two national awards celebrating the achievements of its residential conveyancing solicitors.

The firm is shortlisted twice for the inaugural British Conveyancing Awards, which will honour those who helped house buyers and sellers move home during the pandemic.

New business manager, Elisha Birgul, is one of three individuals vying for the New Business Champion of the Year award, thanks to the consistently high levels of service she provides to clients and professional partners. Since taking up the position in March 2020, she has led a team of six charged with converting enquiries and has helped Taylor&Emmet reach record levels of new instructions.

Taylor&Emmet is also nominated for the Innovation of the Year award, following its success in implementing new technology that has revolutionised its conveyancing process. Whilst most of its team was operating remotely, due to lockdown, it managed to embrace new working practises to deliver faster turnaround times and provide a better customer experience.

Neil Riley, Taylor&Emmet’s head of residential conveyancing, said: “We are really proud to be representing Sheffield at these key industry awards and hope the changes we have made to improve our service to homeowners will be recognised. In the last 12 months, we have undergone a seismic shift in our operational processes and it is great to have an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of all involved.”

The British Conveyancing Awards 2021 are being run by Today’s Conveyancer magazine. Winners will be announced on May 25 at a virtual ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
