Lauren Smith, with over 15 years of experience, has been at the forefront of delivering expert legal counsel in areas such as wills, inheritance tax planning, asset protection, probate and administration of estates, powers of attorney, court of protection and trust matters. Her profound knowledge and meticulous attention to detail have consistently set her apart in the legal landscape.

Before joining Taylor Bracewell in 2014 and subsequently becoming a Partner in 2018, Lauren Smith made significant contributions to several major law firms in South Yorkshire. Her journey to partnership is a testament to her remarkable skills and the profound impact she has had on the legal community.

In addition to her professional achievements, Lauren Smith and her team have been active participants in the Will Aid initiative for many years. Will Aid, an annual charitable scheme, offers clients the opportunity to create a will for free, with the hope of encouraging donations to charities.  Lauren's extraordinary efforts have raised an astonishing £205,136, earning her team the title of "Highest Donating Firm in the UK." This is a remarkable accomplishment considering the numerous firms that participate in this initiative.

Recognising her outstanding contributions, Lauren Smith was also honoured with the prestigious Women in Law 2022 and 2023 Award. This recognition testifies to her dedication to breaking barriers in the legal profession, which is often perceived as male-dominated. Her passion for her work is not only evident to her peers but also resonates deeply with her clients.
