Associate solicitor, Tom Haywood, is one of five talented individuals under 35 shortlisted for the Emerging Dealmaker of the Year accolade at the South Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards.

Tom has been identified as an outstanding young dealmaker, based on the integral role he has played in a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including management buyouts and the sale and acquisition of businesses. The winner of the award will be announced at a special ceremony held on June 9 at Sheffield’s Mercure St Paul’s Hotel and Spa.

Taylor&Emmet’s corporate team, led by Rob Moore, was also involved in a management buyout that is shortlisted for the Deal of the Year award (up to £2.5m), acting in the sale of industrial oven manufacturer, Airflow World Group.

Rob said:

“It is an honour to be included in two categories at the forthcoming Dealmakers Awards. We are particularly proud of Tom, who shows great initiative and dedication to clients on a daily basis. Gaining regional recognition will showcase his skills to the wider business community and identify him as a go-to specialist in corporate law.”
