The Adsetts Partnership purchases new Sheffield City Centre HQ

The Adsetts Partnership is a not for profit organisation that brings voluntary sector agencies together in collaborations to ensure a more holistic offering for the groups they support.

It also markets directly to commissioners on behalf of these organisations to deliver benefits via larger contracts whilst ensuring that economy of scale, financial clout, geographical spread and diversity of provision still apply. Recently, they have completed the purchase of the former Whitbread Exchange Brewery in Sheffield city centre for their headquarters with the support of Creative Sheffield and Santander. The move to the Exchange Brewery is an exciting step forward coinciding with a planned period of growth and diversification for the organisation. It will bring together under one roof the core services of The Adsetts Partnership, Autism Plus and Jobsteps Employment Services Ltd. In preparation for future growth the board has been strengthened with Sir Norman Adsetts OBE Chairing the TAP board. He is joined by Martin Havenhand, Vice Chair and former CEO of Yorkshire Forward, Barrie Cottingham, former Chairman of Cattles plc and SIG plc, Yuri Matischen, former Sheffield Chamber President and Sally Neocosmos OBE former Registrar and Secretary at the University of York and Chief Executive at Higher Education Staff Development Agency. Philip Bartey remains as Group Chief Executive. Yuri Matischen former Sheffield Chamber President has been appointed as Chairman of Autism Plus Autism Plus adult learning and community support services will operate from the new 24,000 square foot building. The phased move is planned to take place between June and August 2012. Ann Allen at Creative Sheffield assisted The Adsetts Partnership with finding the premises and making the business case to keep the head office and contact centre facilities in the Sheffield City Region. Philip Bartey of The Adsetts Partnership states "we were actively considering moving our head office operations to Leeds, but thanks to the fantastic support received from Ann we were persuaded to keep them in the Sheffield City Region." The Adsetts Partnership has also been supported by Liz Pickering at Santander Commercial Banking, Peter Whitely of Knight Frank and Irwin Mitchell.
