The Burley Group wins big at prestigious national awards ceremony

One of Sheffield's leading insurance brokers has been celebrated in being given a highly-coveted industry award at the UK's largest and most prestigious Insurance Awards.

The Burley Group, established for over 65 years, was presented with the silver award in the Commercial Lines Broker of the Year category at the 2018 Insurance Times Awards. The winners were revealed on the evening of Thursday 6th of December at a glittering ceremony hosted by Jimmy Carr at the InterContinental O2, London. The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the breadth of UK general insurance. Judged by an independent panels of experts, they shine a light on outstanding achievement and honour the best of the best. The Burley Group's success comes on the back of a year in which it continued to support two local Sheffield charities. Weston Park Cancer Charity benefitted from their Christmas fundraiser. Sheffield Children's Hospital and Support Dogs received ongoing sponsorship. Managing Director Matthew Mawson said: -This is a huge achievement for the business, with competition from large national and international brokers across the UK we're thrilled -I would like to thank all the staff for helping us achieve this accolade, we are one team and it's the hard work and dedication that everyone puts in that has helped us achieved this everyone from our in-house dedicated claims team to our experienced brokers.
