The Copthorne Hotel Sheffield has the Pleasure in Introducing their New GM

23rd November 2012

The Copthorne Hotel Sheffield has the pleasure in introducing their new GM, Mr Trevor Vels.

Trevor has a wealth of experience in the Hotel & Hospitality Industry, having successfully managed the Copthorne Manchester property for the past 18 months. Originally from South Africa, Trevor has relocated to the UK as his permanent home and enjoys nothing more than exploring the Peak District & surrounding areas with his family.  Trevor understands that Sheffield is a great City with a grounded history in Steel Manufacturing, but has now become more diverse, with the Financial, Medical & Law fraternities making Sheffield their base for industry as well as many others.   With the obvious vibrancy of the city in mind, and the Copthorne Sheffield hotel's standing as one of the premier hotels in the city, there will doubtlessly be a lot of new developments within the hotel, so please watch this space. In embracing the shared ownership of the hotel and Sheffield United Football club, the first significant change is already in effect - All SUFC supporters are welcome within the hotel on match days wearing the football shirts with pride!   I would also like to give huge congratulations to the kitchen brigade led by Mark Jones, Head Chef for being awarded an AA rosette for the restaurant. Well done to the entire team for this superb accolade and we look forward to this being the beginning of even greater successes in the future.
