The Curve raise £2260 to support local cancer charity, Cavendish Cancer Care

30th May 2022

The Curve team members, Paul and Andrew, take on the Leeds Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness of local cancer charity, Cavendish Cancer Care.

Cavendish Cancer Care is a Sheffield based charity that provides support to local families affected by cancer. They give those affected and their families the chance to talk in confidence and offer complementary therapies to help alleviate both the emotional strain of cancer, and the physical side effects of the illness and its treatment.

The Curve are a strategic partner of Cavendish Cancer Care and we are looking at ways in which we can support the amazing work the Charity does for families affected by cancer.

Curve team members Paul and Andrew decided they were going to take part in the Leeds Half Marathon as a friendly office wager and decided this would be a good opportunity to raise some funds & awareness for Cavendish in the process.

After crossing the finish line in impressive times, Paul and Andrew had raised a total of £2,260 plus gift aid, which is an incredible amount raised. This amount of money will help Cavendish with around 80hrs of therapy for those that need it most. So with this contribution and others like it, families affected by cancer don’t have to suffer alone.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported Paul and Andrew by making a donation to their cause on behalf of Cavendish Cancer Care, it is greatly appreciated and we can't wait to continue supporting Cavendish in the months to come!
