The Cutlery works Announce Opening date of the Largest Independent Food Hall in Northern England

It's the news that Sheffield foodies have been waiting for, as The Cutlery Works announce that they'll be opening their doors on Thursday 8th November.

The 14,000 sq ft Rutland Cutlery Works building in Kelham Island will be a huge hive of food and drink businesses, creating 100 jobs throughout the venue and giving independent entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their offerings. This exciting new addition to Sheffield's uber trendy Kelham Island, comes from The Milestone Group behind the city's renowned restaurants The Milestone, Craft & Dough and INC Rooftop bar. The Cutlery Works will be a mix of permanent outlets and semi-permanent pop-ups, inspired by the hawker markets of South East Asia, with influences from Lisbon, New York and Barcelona. Bringing a unique dining experience to the people who live, work and enjoy visiting the area. The launch party on Thursday 8th November is in collaboration with Hallam FM's Cash for Kids, for Mission Christmas. Attendees will be entertained by a live A Cappello Christmas choir, drinks reception and be the first to experience the amazing range of food on offer. The Milestone Group have worked hard to select a range of traders, each with their own exciting concept to offer something for everyone's tastes. From 2019, each trader involved will be hosting their own monthly events to share their knowledge and skills. Keep an eye out on for upcoming events and to grab your tickets. The Traders include; • The Gravy Train, bringing their poutine to the party (Canadian posh chips and cheese, with cheese curds and lots of yummy accompaniments). • Five Rivers who will be taking care of pho and bahn mi alongside their famous Vietnamese drip coffee. • Edo Sushi will be providing counter dining around their open kitchen, watch your sushi and sashimi get sliced and rolled and look out for their cookery demos. • MA-ba, fantastic South Indian cooking classes with family recipes that have been handed down through generations. • Shed, 100% plant-based restaurant. Featuring imaginative and mouth-watering dishes from loaded toasts to combo bowls and cold-pressed juices. • Bullion's Chocolate Cafe, manufacturing bean to bar chocolate on site, from the raw cacao bean to the finished bar. Bullion is only 1 of 15 craft chocolate bar makers in the UK. • Pop-up restaurant Shed, will be providing health-conscious Vegan dishes alongside, • Elly Joy with her renowned froconut desserts, who will also be introducing some savoury options. • For the meat (and fish) lovers, we welcome new start-up Fin and Bone. • Booze Hound Independently produced craft beer bar. • Table focusing on meat, cheese and natural wines. • Foundry coffee roasters providing filter and espresso based coffee, alongside a range of artisan blended teas, drinking chocolate, delicious cakes, pastries and brownies. • Last but not least, Pie Eyed serving homemade proper pies. Jack from PieEyed said: -We're bringing a whole bundle of classic British comfort food joy to The Cutlery Works! "Not only will we be selling our handmade all butter pastry pies, but scotch eggs, sausage rolls and even sticky toffee pudding too. "We're also looking forward to hosting our own little pastry making classes at The Cutlery Works in the future! Lee from Foundry Coffee Roasters said: -We're looking to provide a truly unique speciality coffee experience for the people of Sheffield. "We source and roast all our coffee ourselves and our beans are enjoyed throughout the UK and Europe. "We see The Cutlery Works as an ideal place to showcase the very best coffee that we have to offer. "We will be roasting all our coffee on site, so visitors will be able to observe the coffee roasting process close-up. Foodies can place their food order with a range of outlets before taking a seat and waiting for their meal to be served by a waiter/waitress in the communal dining area. If you download The Milestone Group App you can order food right from your phone and have it delivered to your table. The Cutlery Works will open from 8am, with breakfast and freshly roasted coffee being served up by the traders from 10am. Expect a relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, the perfect place to catch up with friends or meet colleagues over lunch. The Cutlery Works will also be providing a hotdesking space with access to WIFI and discounted coffee. Guests can stay all day, meet clients and take advantage of the amazing food offering. They'll also be a children's play area to keep little ones feeling welcomed and entertained. What's more you can also bring your pooch along too! Come night time, there'll be a fun, lively vibe, with late night dining until 12am during the week and 1am Friday and Saturday.
