The Global Business Network

10th February 2022

What is the Global Business Network? It is an international network of 53 UK Chambers representing over 80,000 businesses with 6 million employees and over 80 network partners in international markets across the globe.

And what does it do? It drives two-way commerce and business between over 80 high growth markets across the globe and the UK.

What does that mean?

  • It means that in 2020, the British and international Chamber of Commerce network facilitated circa £16billion of international trade.
  • It means that we are the only business group with members of every size, from every sector, in both every region of the UK and globally.
  • It means that we work together with Chambers to drive change from the ground up, helping companies, places and people achieve their potential.

This unique perspective not only gives us unparalleled insight into British business communities but combines a wealth of experience, knowledge and resource in the UK and the international chamber network!

How can it help your business? It can provide you practical, ‘hand holding help’ to assist you to surmount barriers to trade. Through the network it can help you to seize opportunities by creating a framework of connectivity and practical support, provided by a trusted and known private sector led ecosystem of reputable business partners.

How does it work? Simple. Just call the team at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and we will introduce you to our partner organisation in your target markets.

The response is usually within 48 hours, with a suggestion to set up a zoom meeting to assess what you are looking for and what that market partner can offer. This will include specific product or sector advice, information on market opportunities, and practical support to navigate the local business environment and grasp opportunities.

We are your known and trusted partners on the ground! Sheffield Chamber of Commerce alongside the Sheffield International Trade centre are right in the middle of this proactive, growing global ecosystem. So, if you are looking to expand your business overseas call us on 0114 213 2991 or email international@scci.org.uk
