A brand new café has opened its doors in the centre of Sheffield, bringing a warm, welcoming space and top-tier food and drink to the local scene.

 The Sheffield Bolthole, which opened in April 2025, is the latest independent venture to bring something special to the city — and it's already making waves.

Founded by long-time friends Jess and Dave, who have known each other for 38 years, The Sheffield Bolthole blends deep-rooted friendship with a shared passion for exceptional hospitality. Dave, a professional chef with 15 years of experience, leads the kitchen with a focus on quality, creativity, and seasonal ingredients. Jess brings her own wealth of experience, having just returned to Sheffield after co-founding and running the hugely popular Ebb and Flow café in Kingswear, Devon — which continues to thrive under the sole reign of Jess' co-founder.

In a proud milestone, The Sheffield Bolthole has also been named the newest Premium Partner of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing their commitment to the local business community and their ambition to contribute meaningfully to Sheffield’s vibrant independent sector.

To celebrate this partnership, The Sheffield Bolthole is offering an exclusive discount to Sheffield Chamber members, starting from 12th June 2025.
