The Return Of Devonshire Market

27th March 2013

Organisers of the popular independent Devonshire Market announce its return for 2013.

Set in the fashionable, indie surroundings of Sheffield's Devonshire Quarter, the Devonshire Market will return to be a diverse selection of some of the most interesting local businesses. Specialising in clothing, accessories, savoury and sweet treats and yummy, yummy cocktails, stalls will be fun, exciting and professional. In addition to all of this music will be provided by live DJs and live local musicians creating a vibrant atmosphere, and a food court will showcase the finest local farm and independent produce to 12,000 buzzing customers. Market organiser Sam Wherrett of local independent company Big Live Event Limited stated -We're really excited to be re-launching Devonshire Market. Our creative city needs a market to showcase our wonderful makers and sellers. Expect to see high quality musicians and bands plus street entertainers as well as some of the quirkiest makers in Sheffield. The original market held in 2011 coincided with the Royal Wedding and was a mini-festival in itself with loads of entertainment. The first market this year will replicate this and take place on Saturday 4th May 2013 with six more to follow later in the year (Saturday 8th June, Saturday 6th July, Saturday 3rd August, Saturday 7th September. Saturday 5th October, & a Christmas special on Saturday 7th December). The market will feature a variety of stalls such as antiques and collectables, jewellery and crafts, arts and prints, vintage, florists and lots more. It will also boast a cocktail & ale bar and lots of food stalls selling gourmet food. For more information about the market or if you are interested in becoming a Stallholder, head to devonshiremarkets.com, contact Sam Wherrett or Carly Honeycombe at hello@devonshiremarkets.com, tweet @DevonshireMkt, or visit the Facebook Page.
