The SEO Works launches bespoke LMS platform to bolster in-house training

27th June 2024

As part of an increased effort to bolster their in-house training operation, award-winning digital agency The SEO Works has unveiled a bespoke LMS platform - SEO Works GROW.

The recently crowned ‘Global Integrated Search Agency of the Year’ has increasingly invested in internal learning and development over recent years. From a successful apprenticeship academy to the creation of a dedicated training team, it’s something that has been a focus for the business.

This focus was further solidified with the promotion of Stephanie Hodgkinson, a senior member of the SEO team, to a new role as Training Manager.

However, this recent announcement has taken it to the next level. After months of building and development, the agency has launched a bespoke LMS platform where training workshops and full courses can be accessed online by the team.

These range from specific sessions on subjects like Keyword Mapping and Local SEO, to their Basics and Advanced Content courses - all fully remote and delivered through the platform in a variety of formats. Whether guiding new starters through the fundamentals of SEO, or helping take experienced members’ knowledge to the next level, the platform is an exciting step for the business.

On the decision to develop the platform, Training Manager Stephanie says “We're keen for the team to develop their knowledge, not only so we can provide the best service to clients but also for personal development. As the dedicated Training team, we're always looking at new ways of learning. That's why we've built our learning platform to offer the team the opportunity to test their knowledge on different topics with the LMS courses.”

The platform won’t be a substitute for in-person sessions, but will merely expand the learning potential for new and existing team members, which the team thinks is important.

“We understand that people learn in different ways, so the platform helps to vary the training formats offered. We are able to use slides, audio, and video.

We've also made a conscious effort to make training sessions more interactive, for example, including workshop formats which the team have really enjoyed. It gives people a chance to have discussions, share ideas, and learn from each other in small groups.”

In the early stages after launching, The SEO Works have exciting plans to continue to expand the platform. With a team of nearly 100 digital marketers, and a client list ranging from exciting SMEs to household names, learning and development is central to the agency's continued growth plans.
