Sheffield City Region (SCR) has a unique role to play to help create new businesses, support the growth of existing ones, and inspire and attract foreign ones to come to the region, putting in place critical infrastructure we need to grow.

In so doing they will create new jobs, which will improve regional prosperity which can then improve the welfare of residents, enhance vibrant communities and enable businesses to expand, grow and recruit more staff. Horasis is The Sheffield City Region have secured hosting a high-profile conference partnership with Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, one of the world's significant voices upon corporate globalisation and Asian business and Former World Economic Forum director of Asian affairs. Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, with his management consulting company Horasis, encourages multinational corporations to grow globally in order to thrive, and with a strong membership base of typically 300+ Chief Executive Officers, key business leaders from emerging markets, renowned thought leaders and relevant public figures including heads of government and ministers - Is bringing Horasis a global China Business Meeting to Sheffield. In particular, it will be the 13th Horasis China Business Meeting taking place in November 5-7 2017. The Sheffield City Region (SCR) are co-hosting this conference, and have secured that the event takes place across Sheffield, with an incredible array of global speakers. To celebrate the achievements of SCR businesses in the Chinese market and Chinese businesses in the region, The Horasis China Business Awards was launched to recognise the achievements of these businesses and contribution they made to the region. Award Categories: Sheffield City Region China High Impact Award - to recognise a Chinese company or a SCR company via trading with or investment from China that creates most positive impact to the city region. Sheffield City Region China High Growth Award - to recognise a SCR company that has experienced significant growth via trading with or investment from China. Sheffield City Region Best in China Award - to recognise a company or an organisation that demonstrate excellence in trading with China or developing significant links between SCR and China.
