The Sheffield City Region Property and Construction Sector Group

7th September 2016

The Sheffield City Region (SCR) will have a presence at MIPIM (the international construction forum) in Cannes in 2017.

The SCR will be attending MIPIM Cannes for the fourth year running. Plans for the region's presence at MIPIM are progressing well and the SCR Executive Team have prepared a MIPIM 2017 strategy which intends to lay the foundations for a successful programme in 2017 and the years to come. The SCR team wish to forge new relationships and leverage existing partnerships for the success of the region. Counter Context have been brought on board to lead the private sector engagement. The MIPIM programme itself will be designed and managed by the SCR Executive Team, guided by the MIPIM Steering Group, under the chairmanship of Martin McKervey from Nabarro LLP. The key contact within the Executive Team is Nici Pickering, Interim Events manager. Nici will lead the development of the MIPIM programmes for both MIPIM UK in October and MIPIM Cannes in March. She will be working with public and private sector partners to put together a compelling programme of activities. Nici has a vast amount of marketing and event experience and many years working within the built environment. The approach to SCR's MIPIM 2017 presence will be set out at a Sponsorship Launch Presentation. The event will be led by SCR Chairman, Sir Nigel Knowles, and Combined Authority Chair, Sir Steve Houghton. The SCR Team would be delighted to welcome you to this event to find out more about the MIPIM plans. If you would like an invitation to this event please contact Lucy or Marcus below. The SCR Executive Team have produced a sponsorship pack that you can also obtain from them. This is a great opportunity to build on previously successful delegations to MIPIM in both the UK and Cannes. There is increased activity and confidence around our city region that can provide us with a springboard to grow our presence at MIPIM branded events. If you have any questions about the sponsorship opportunities available or would like to discuss in further detail, please don't hesitate to get in touch with either Lucy Brown (lucy.brown@countercontext.com) at or Marcus King (marcus.king@countercontext.com) at Counter Context.
