The Yorkshire Crisp Company On Cue To Support Sheffield Masters

5th April 2019

The Yorkshire Crisp Company has teamed up with the organisers of the 2019 ROKiT World Seniors Sheffield Masters snooker tournament which takes place in the company's home town of Sheffield.

A huge event in the sporting calendar, the tournament consists of two sessions of top class snooker action in The Crucible on Thursday 11th April and will be televised live. The Yorkshire Crisp Company is on cue to provide 50g drums of its gourmet, hand-crafted Natural Sea Salt Yorkshire Crisps for 'welcome packs' to be given out to all the players, officials, VIPs and honoured guests in the events leading up to the tournament final and has also provided raffle prizes of selection packs of 12 drums of assorted flavours of Yorkshire Crisps. The full itinerary of exciting events will begin on Wednesday 10th April and will include a Sheffield Masters Golf Day at Dore & Totley Golf Club, and the Inaugural Sheffield Masters Champions Dinner for the defending champion Cliff Thorburn in the presence of Sarah Fountain Smith, The Canadian Deputy High Commissioner to the UK and her husband, Richard Smith. The Golf Day will involve snooker legends Stephen Hendry, John Virgo, John Parrott, Joe Johnson, Dennis Taylor, and Cliff plus Richard Smith, the Deputy High Commissioner's husband, heading up teams for what is set to be a thrilling fourball competition. Yorkshire Crisps are made in Wales Bar, Sheffield, from selected locally-grown potatoes which are thinly sliced with the skin left on to make them extra crispy and retain all the best nutrients. They are hand-fried in hot sunflower oil for a few minutes and then drizzled whilst still warm, with totally natural seasonings. With eleven flavours in the range, there's sure to be something to suit everyone, including vegan and gluten-free options too! Said Jane Knowles of The Yorkshire Crisp Company: -We are very proud of our Yorkshire heritage and are thrilled to be able to be involved with this famous sporting event. We hope all the recipients enjoy a taste of what Sheffield has to offer.
