Tomato Energy: Revolutionising energy for businesses in Sheffield

13th November 2024

Tomato Energy is here to transform the UK energy landscape, dedicated to making affordable and accessible energy a reality for everyone.

Now, we're here to support the Sheffield business community to drive that change locally, helping businesses of all sizes adopt clean energy solutions that benefit both their bottom line and the environment.

At Tomato Energy, we believe in the strength of partnerships. As more than just an energy provider, we’re committed to supporting local economies, fostering innovation, and empowering businesses to create positive change in the communities they serve. In South Yorkshire, our community manager Julie Derbyshire actively engages with local organisations and initiatives, listening to what matters most to our customers to foster meaningful connections. In October, the Tomato team proudly sponsored Sheffield’s Out of this World Festival helping the event to be a galactic success as it entertained thousands of people. We're excited to explore new ways to support Sheffield in becoming an example of innovation and sustainability for the entire nation.

The UK Government plans to remove obstacles to renewable projects, particularly solar and storage, making it easier for communities to start energy projects. The goal is to deliver 11,000 local clean energy power projects across the UK, from small-scale solar installations to medium-scale wind farms. These projects will provide cheaper, cleaner power to local communities including businesses. Tomato Energy aims to support 1000 of the 11,000 local clean energy power projects.

Powered by Senapt, Tomato Energy offer customer–centric energy supply management for businesses. Focussing on Energy as a Service (Eaas) principles, Senapt’s software once adopted can provide savings on business energy bills using consumption-based energy patterns.

We envision a thriving, low-carbon society built on sustainability for Sheffield. Our Root to Zero initiative which analyses your business carbon footprint helps you optimise your energy efficiency and save money. For those businesses looking to take steps towards sustainable change, we can also provide and install solar panels and battery storage at competitive energy rates.

Looking ahead to 2025, Tomato Energy is committed to expanding affordable energy options across the business community in Sheffield, building long-lasting partnerships that truly make an impact on the people and communities who need it most.
