Trio Of Appointments at Bhayani Law

20th April 2021

Leading niche law firm, Bhayani Law, is branching out and, as part of its continued expansion, has boosted its business legal services team.

Employment solicitor, Lindsey Gaimster, who joined the firm in 2016 has been promoted to director and head of employment law. Lindsey has specialised in employment law for nine years and is known for her professional and efficient, but down-to-earth attitude and her easy-to-understand advice.

Rebecca Stopford is an experienced company commercial solicitor with over 20 years’ legal expertise both working in law firms and inside businesses. She has worked with a wide variety of companies, from start-ups, small businesses and charities to national and global PLCs.  Her clients have praised her level-headed, pragmatic and reassuring approach and high quality, practical advice.  With this breadth of experience Rebecca provides comprehensive commercial services to all types of businesses including the wide range of legal issues that a business will be confronted with, such as commercial contracts (from standard T&C to complex agreements, such as supply, franchise, agency and distribution), shares, shareholder and other company issues, e-commerce and intellectual property aspects, data protection and other compliance matters. She can also advise on the sale and purchase of a business or company, joint ventures and company re-organisations.

James Perry is a specialist commercial litigation solicitor who has dealt with many types of commercial disputes during his 15 years working in this field.  He has acted for a range of companies, from sole traders to blue-chip PLCs, in most courts and tribunals in England and Wales. His main areas of expertise include breach of contract, contentious debt recovery, intellectual property, director/shareholder, general civil and property disputes, data protection, and insolvency. James is a pragmatic litigator who always looks to provide quick, commercial solutions for his clients, avoiding the full costs of a trial wherever possible. He has been named in the Legal 500 for several years, where he was described as ‘commercially astute’. James has many strings to his bow, including being the chair of the Law Society’s National Civil Litigation Committee and the independent complaints solicitor for the High Court Enforcement Officers Association.  He has also been part of a professional engagement group for the Ministry of Justice regarding recent online reforms.
Jay Bhayani, managing director of Bhayani Law, said: “I am delighted that our expansion is moving so quickly.  We have recently opened offices in Leeds, Leicester and London and added new staff along the way.  We have always been focussed on staying ahead of the curve and offering cutting-edge, but practical, advice and day-to-day support to our clients.  This now extends to company and commercial matters and so, no matter what size your business, whether you have employment, HR, health and safety or business-related challenges, we can help you to overcome it.”
