Trustee Training Seminars 2018

7th March 2018

BHP, Chartered Accountants is delighted to invite you to attend one of our popular free trustee training seminars.

This year's events will be held in three fabulous locations across Yorkshire; the De Grey Rooms in York, The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield and Sheffield United Football Club in Sheffield. The House of Lords Select Committee Report on Charities specifically recommended that all new trustees should have an induction and all trustees should have ongoing training and development. These seminars offer a comprehensive introduction for new trustees as well as a useful refresher for existing trustees, ensuring they are fully aware of their legal and financial responsibilities as trustees. The speakers are Jane Marshall, Head of Charities at BHP, Chartered Accountants, who will present on the financial duties and responsibilities of charity trustees, and Catherine Rustomji, Partner at Browne Jacobson, who will explain the legal duties and responsibilities of charity trustees. Informative and practical, these seminars will also provide an opportunity for you to network with other trustees and share information with other organisations in order to develop new perspectives and insights into the running of your organisation. We hope that you will be able to join us. Delegate feedback from previous trustee training seminars -Clear knowledgeable presentations with the opportunity to ask questions throughout.
