Twinkle Twinkle Terminus Road

24th December 2013

A truly festive day was had by all at Terminus Road, Millhouses, on Saturday 14th December, as local businesses brought some Yuletide cheer to the residents with its first Christmas market.

Adding to the merriment, and bringing the market to glittering life, visitors were treated to a new light show as Olmec Advanced Materials, one of Terminus Road's business residents, lit up its offices with Surelight LED wall washers, also used on the Strand Hotel and Oxford St in London's West End at St Christopher's Place this Christmas not forgetting the Straddle by Victoria Quays here in Sheffield. They will be left on over Christmas and are well worth a visit to have a look. Over 37 stalls at the market attracted hundreds of visitors delighted to have such a festive event on their doorstep.  Many of Millhouses' businesses took part, with visitors able to buy Christmassy goods, including bread, delicatessen, fruit and vegetables, sweets, crafts and toys.  Delicious refreshments were available and everyone was treated to jovial music from carol singers, a brass quartet and barrel organ. Paul Lancaster, managing director at Olmec said -What a wonderful experience for everyone to get together to bring this great Christmas market to Millhouses.  It was real team effort which brought something for everyone.  Visitors clearly enjoyed the entertainment, but it was also a great opportunity for our local businesses to showcase what they are able to do.  I am delighted that Olmec was able to add to the atmosphere with our lighting.  I understand the market may become a monthly event in 2014, and we will certainly be doing our bit where possible.   For further information about Olmec's Surelight wall washers and other amazing and cutting edge lighting products, contact 0114 236 1606 or email
