August saw UniHomes celebrate a major milestone – we turned 10!
This month, we’re celebrating a major milestone as UniHomes turns 10!
Setting out in 2015 to simplify the entire student rental journey in one platform, it’s been quite a ride, growing from a small team with a big vision to the market-leading student accommodation advertising platform and service provider, operating in over 70 major university towns and cities across the UK.
“We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved at UniHomes. What started as a simple idea has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined,” Phil Greaves, UniHomes co-founder and CEO said.
Born from our co-founders' frustrations as both students and student lettings landlords, Phil, Brad and Luca recognised the complexity and lack of transparency facing students needing homes and utilities. They also understood the challenges facing letting agents marketing to ever-evolving, tech-savvy students.
Over the last 10 years we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of students find their perfect all-inclusive university 'home from home' by connecting them with our established and extensive letting agent and operator networks, while adding our student utility bills package, that can be added to any home.
To mark the occasion, we celebrated the only way we know how, with the very people who have helped make it all possible, our amazing team.
On Friday 8th August UniHomes employees across the full mix of remote and office-based colleagues, spanning all departments from commercial and partnerships, data and analytics, finance, legal, marketing, operations, people and culture, sales, and technology and product, headed to Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield, for a day full of team-building activities.
From mini golf and jaw-dropping magic to hilarious caricatures and finishing on dancefloor with a brilliant live band, everyone came together to celebrate 10 wonderful years of UniHomes.
“I’d like to say thank you to everyone, both past and present, who’s been part of this journey. We wouldn’t be here without you,” Phil added.
“I’d also like to give a special shout out to Luxe Events and Ringwood Hall for a fabulous day.”
Over the past decade, we’ve expanded into new cities, moved offices, grown rapidly, and faced challenges head-on, all while staying true to our mission to transform the UK student rental accommodation market, using technology to provide one go-to platform that’s synonymous with the entire student rental journey – making UniHomes the indispensable tool for student renters to secure their perfect all-inclusive home and thrive thereafter, and empowering partners to succeed.
