Unique SheffEX business festival set to sell-out

30th May 2014

An inaugural business festival bringing together more than 1,000 people from organisations across the Sheffield City Region is set to be a sell-out.

The unique, new SheffEX event is taking place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on Monday 2 June. More than 1,000 people have already signed up to exhibit or attend the festival, which will also feature a huge exhibition zone, networking arena and workshop areas. A panel of leading experts have been lined up giving Sheffield City Region organisations the chance to pitch ideas and opportunities in a Dragons Den-style event. Tony Carroll, one of the event's organisers, said: -SheffEX has been organised by Sheffield City Region businesses people for Sheffield City Region businesses people. -It's about doing things differently, beating the economic negativity and doom and gloom with a unique networking event where businesses will meet new prospects from all walks of life, and sectors of business, make deals and make money. SheffEX is a cross-sector business event attracting visitors from the whole of the Sheffield City Region, as well as the wider Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Five SheffEX Good Causes the Cathedral Archer Project, South Yorkshire Community Foundation, The Children's Hospital Charity, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and Yorkshire Air Ambulance - have been chosen to take a no-cost stand at the exhibition. Tony added: -Getting yourself in front of new people can be tough. Getting a chance to grab the attention of hundreds of people in one working day is almost impossible, but SheffEX has been designed to make it easy for business to do this with maximum impact for minimum effort. -Exhibiting at a big business event like SheffEX automatically shouts out that you're the kind of firm that's worth talking to. -And with the chance to pitch business ideas to a panel of leading experts, it adds to a whole new level of excitement and opportunity to the day. -We've been humbled by the overwhelming response from the business community in the region and we've have almost sold out of exhibitor and delegate spaces. Revive and Relax Workplace Massage Company will be offering free, therapeutic workplace massages in the Networking Arena at Ponds Forge. To celebrate SheffEX and Sheffield as a place to do business, organisers have created a special video featuring local business men and women.
