Verus Recruitment expand the office family on their mission to make more perfect job matches in 2021

The recruitment industry has been tested to its core by the pandemic, but as the region begins to reopen more and more businesses are looking to hire the perfect people to bring them out of lockdown. Verus Recruitment, based in Crookes, Sheffield, are striving for bigger and brighter things and as they continue to support businesses across Yorkshire in finding staff that fit, they’re also making sure their in-house team reflect their business values of authenticity, trust and quality.
Earlier in 2021, they welcomed Business Development Manager Sarah Briggs to the team, who said “I’m a massive advocate of finding out what makes our client’s team members tick – it’s so important to work out what makes them feel valued, it’s not always about more salary. I know if you can get that right when hiring a member of staff, companies will cut their attrition rates, have a great workforce and save money in the long run”.
At Verus Recruitment, they strongly believe that people are everything, and good people make good companies, which is why they are passionate about keeping their office as family friendly as possible. Whether that’s childcare, dog sitting or simply a work from home day, the team are thrilled to be bringing the things they enjoyed about lockdown (lunchtime dog walks, flexible hours and cake Fridays to name a few) into the office.
More recently in May 2021, the recruitment firm announced the appointment of Dr Laura Cutress, who has joined the business (alongside her ‘Barketing’ Assistant Beinn the Cocker Spaniel) as the Head of Marketing and Commercial Operations. She says “I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves to be in a company and position that is challenging, fulfilling and where you feel valued. After a rollercoaster 2020 I have to say it's great to feel valued so much to be offered this opportunity, and I look forward to helping candidates find the same job satisfaction I do!”
